Pick a story, any story ...

Right now I am editing my So You Think You Can Write 2012 entry. This is the part I love and hate about writing. Editing is like putting a puzzle together. But unlike a puzzle, I always have little bits of story left over that I really want to include but ultimately don't fit. I try and try to shove them into the space and sometimes it takes days for me to accept that it's just the wrong piece.

The problem is that there are just so many options. How do you choose just one? Well, I'm going to have to because really people want to read a logical story that goes from point a to point b, not one that goes from point a to c to f to b ....
